Understanding Toxic Relationships

Toxic relationships can be detrimental to one's emotional and mental well-being. Understanding why individuals may become involved in such relationships is crucial to recognizing and ultimately breaking free from these harmful dynamics.

Reasons for Involvement in Toxic Relationships

1. Low Self-Esteem

Individuals with low self-esteem might find themselves in toxic relationships because they do not believe they deserve better. They may feel unworthy of healthy love and thus settle for relationships that do not meet their needs.

2. Past Experiences

A history of unhealthy relationships or a troubled family background can predispose someone to repeat familiar patterns. If a person grew up witnessing or experiencing toxic interactions, they might subconsciously gravitate towards similar dynamics as adults.

3. Fear of Loneliness

The fear of being alone can compel individuals to stay in toxic relationships. The comfort of having a partner, even a harmful one, can seem preferable to the uncertainty of being single and desperate for companionship and sexual intimacy, no matter who what where when why nor how.

4. Manipulation and Control

Toxic partners often use manipulation and control, which can lead to emotional dependency. This manipulation can create a cycle where the victim feels trapped and unable to leave.

5. Hope for Change

Many people remain in toxic relationships due to the belief that their partner will change.  Or they help make up or go along with excuses as to why the toxic person they are with is toxic, having a distorted unclear understanding not caring about the truth.  Intentionally choosing to Ignore the true reasons why the toxic behavior continues to exist without continuing in allowing or accepting the many excuses why there are no life-changes made, no mature growth taking place, no character and no attitude adjustments made.  We all have experienced life the great, the good, the bad, the ugly and the pure evil parts of life, we all have had our shared life experiences starting from childhood up to adult hood.  We all have had to overcome conquer and forgive, ourselves and others throughout our lives and will forever have to until the day we die.  How we chose to deal manage, cope, conquer and overcome these obstacles no matter how severe great grand or small is up to us, no matter who the finger may truly point to and no matter who may actually truly be the cause or the blame for the trauma.  As we go on in our lives we can't continue to forever use blame or excuses.  Especially not in order to deceive and manipulate others in getting the attention we may so desperately seek and to get our way.  Some may cling to the positive aspects of the relationship or hope that love or sex will eventually transform their partner's behavior.  Some people do carry trauma for the rest of their lives and some will never heal and this is a free will choice made to continue life in this way.  But this should not be an excuse to misbehave, to be dishonorable, to commit sinful evil ungodly acts towards God, towards ourselves and towards others while dealing with overbearing overwhelming traumatic childhood or adulthood situations and life experiences.  Not everyone deals in the same way when coping with very similar traumatic life experiences, which is truly understood.  It is still our responsibility to get much needed correct wise God led help, especially IF the trauma seems to have created too many emotional problems in our lives.  Some people feel cheated out of a life or lifestyle that they felt they deserved, so then the unforgettable memories of the trauma and traumatic nightmares may show up.  Feeling cheated out of what they believe are great life opportunities.  

6. Lack of Awareness

Sometimes, individuals may not realize they are in a toxic relationship. They might normalize negative behaviors, and may either settle for or make many excuses or are unaware of what a healthy relationship looks like.  

7. Societal and Cultural Influences

Societal norms and cultural expectations can also play a role. Some cultures may prioritize staying in a relationship regardless of its quality, due to stigma surrounding lonliness, separation or divorce.

Breaking Free from Toxic Relationships Self-Reflection and Awareness

Recognizing the signs of a toxic relationship is the first step towards change. Self-reflection and awareness can empower individuals to acknowledge that they deserve better.

Seeking Support

Reaching out for support from genuine true friends, family, or professionals who truly sincerely want and desire the very best for you, can provide the necessary encouragement and resources to leave a toxic relationship.  In order to stop this pattern of making bad relationship choices and in order to keep from creating a curse that can be passed down from one generation to the next especially in the family bloodline, desperatly seek and go after receiving help from God.  Who wants to continue carrying toxic behavior and the acceptance and tolerance of it to another relationship that has the ability and the potential to be a much better and more healthier life experience and fit.  True Healing and maturity will need to take place in order to move on with no excess baggage in and with peace.

Building Self-Esteem

Engaging in activities that boost self-esteem and self-worth can help individuals feel more confident in their ability to find and maintain healthy relationships.  And there are so many fun things to do in life to steer our mindsets on positive things instead of being idol, negative and open for deception and mind manipulation.  An idol mind is the devils workshop.  The enemy will set up camp in our minds, hearts and spirits if we are low, weak and empty and are never feeding our spirit man on a daily basis.

Setting Boundaries

Learning to set and enforce personal boundaries is essential in preventing and exiting toxic relationships. This involves clearly communicating one's set boundary limits.  Remind yourself of your own highly set self values, self worth, and self standards.

Professional Help

Therapists and counselors can offer guidance and strategies for dealing with toxic relationships, helping individuals to heal and move forward.

Understanding the underlying reasons for involvement in toxic relationships is key to breaking free and building healthier connections in the future.

We can be very unstable minded people at times depending on what is going on inside of us.  The war, the battle on the inside of us can get crazy overwhelmingly out of control and can be this way for as long as we allow it to be, haywire.  It is actually up to us, it truly is our free will.

Some people can easily be up today and down tomorrow, being extremely moody and emotionally unstable people, based on their daily life experiences and understanding of how to deal, handle, cope and manage.  The same person or people can say positive things about you in this hour or on today but then later, the same person or people can say something negative dishonorable and cruel about you in the next hour or on tomorrow.  We need to pay more attention to the instability in our mindset, heart spirit and soul.  The devil is busy working on and attacking the minds, he wants to contaminate, to control our thinking.  Watch who we choose to interact with.  Watch who or what we daily encounter and where, how, when and why.  Watch who we choose to hang out with, who we choose to talk to or share our lives with.  Watch who food we choose to eat (if this is about toxic relationships, then anybody mature enough should cleary understand exactly what I mean when saying this at this time in regards to this).  Of course we may choose to take chances to eat out at restaurants, and eat food that others we trust may prepare for us and if we believe that we must do this, we pray over our food before we eat, even the food that we may cook for ourselves.  We should pray over food and drinks because there are so many weird and evil things that are going on in this world.  (I felt that I had to say much more about watch who food we choose to eat, and I and God knows exactly why I had to expand on this and add more details explaining exactly what I meant, just in case someone(s) is choosing to believe that the reason why I created this website and chose to discuss this topic, was to talk negatively about them, to hate on them, to discuss them, or to accuse them, or to stalk talk about them and only them, to  maybe discuss their sins (I don't know who is living in sin, only God knows), or to torment them).  (Are their people who exist that really think that much about themselves, smelling themselves with high out of controlled egos and pride, I truly hope not, who has time to waste on non important things that are not any concern or focus of mine, who???  CERTAINLY NOT I, MY HEART IS NOT HATEFUL TOWARDS, NOR IS TARGETING, NOR IS FOCUSED ON, NOR IS REVENGEFUL TOWARDS ANYONE BUT SATAN AND WELL ALSO I HATE EVERYTHING THAT GOD HATES.  THERE IS ON PURPOSE NO ROOM LEFT NO SPACE LEFT IN MY HEART FOR HATE, AND TO FIT ANY KIND OF HATE INSIDE OF IT.  GOD IS ALL LOVE.  GOD DOES NOT HATE ANY HUMAN BEINGS, HE HATES OUR SINFUL WAYS, OUR SINFUL NATURE, THE EVIL WE MAY BE A PART OF. WE HAVE A RIGHT TO GET ANGRY BUT DO NOT SIN, DO NOT ALLOW ANGER TO DETOUR US AND TAKE US OFF OF OUR ORDERED PATH, MY STEPS ARE TRULY ORDERED BY GOD AND HAVE ALWAYS BEEN AND THE DEVIL DOES NOT LIKE THIS.  THE DEVIL DOESN'T LIKE ANY OF US ESPECIALLY IF AND WHEN WE ARE SERVING GOD OUR CREATOR).  I have to add these extras because not everyone is mature enough to understand clearly, not everyone is operating in the spirit of Christ is Christ-like and not everyone visits this website to receive change in their lives, to receive direction and to receive help from God.  And not everyone is open for change, has a pure heart and some people actually feel condemned because they are not ready to be transformed renewed or not ready to come out of sinful ways or not ready to live a righteous holy purified lifestyle.  The devil messes with our understanding with our mindset, our heart, our spirit, our body and our hearing, it is he who tries to accuse and condemn us, he wants our soul.  He brings bitterness, false accusations, anger, shame, condemnation and resistance to block us to stop us from receiving accepting reading and hearing Gods uncompromised righteous holy word of truths.  Gods word is truths, quick and sharper than any two-edge sword, it pierces......

Spiritual Discernment, God's Wisdom, Revelation Knowledge and Understanding along with the Fruits of the Spirit are extremely important to have as well and are to be used daily in and for our life's well being, for divine align order and direction, for God Identification, for covering and for protection.
